A Timeline of Cardi B & Stefon Diggs’ Relationship

Back in October of 2024, Cardi B was forced to push back against a rumored relationship with Diggs for the first time. The pair had allegedly been spotted out and about together by various fans (though this all remains unconfirmed). Regardless, the rumors picked up enough traction that Cardi felt inclined to respond on Instagram Live.

“The internet is insane, all these rumors are so f—king crazy, that’s why I don’t wanna address it cause I feel like this s—t funny,” Cardi said on IG Live at the time.

Cardi B acknowledged that she was indeed “dating” during her tumultuous split from Offset. The estranged couple were duking it out online, with Offset claiming in since-deleted posts his ex-wife “look like a hoe” who is only focused “on d—k.”

“So dating because I’m single means I’m just worried about d–k?? You sound like a dummy..” she responded at the time. “Trying to be fake nice after you did what you wanted from the beginning trying to push a narrative to these people. Congratulations!! F—k off. Sign the papers TODAY.”

The first confirmed public appearance of Diggs and Cardi happened on Valentine’s Day of this year. TMZ shared footage of the two stars arriving at an undisclosed Miami hotel in the middle of the night.

During Coachella’s first weekend, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper was seen giving the NFL player a lap dance. A fan on X commented on the video that Offset was likely “punching the air” at the sight of the clip, but the former Migos rapper replied, “I’m happy for her!!” according to E! News.

In a candid X Spaces chat with fans, Cardi confirmed that she was seeing someone, although she didn’t name Diggs specifically. “It’s been a couple of weeks and I haven’t addressed nothing,” she said at the time. “Because it’s like … you know when you got a gorgeous n–ga f–king you and loving you from head to toe? It’s like, I don’t really give a f–k what anybody says when you got a real fine n–ga that love you from head to toe.”

In the last public sighting of these two before their much talked about court-side appearance, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs were seen arriving at the actual Met Gala separately. However, gossip outlet Just Jared claimed they were spotted entering a Gala afterparty moments apart.

Marking their first public outing, Cardi and Diggs cuddled up courtside at the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics game during the 2025 Second Round NBA Playoffs. The pair also held hands going in and out of Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Cardi confirmed that she and Diggs were officially an item by including him in an Instagram post for the first time. In addition to sharing a photo of the duo snuggling up on a boat, the rapper also posted a steamy video of herself grinding up against the athlete.

While on CBS Mornings to promote her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, Cardi shared some major news. “Yes, I am [pregnant],” she said on the program. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs.”

“I’m excited,” continued the rapper, who also shares three children with Offset. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”

While speaking to People at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards, Diggs spoke about Cardi’s pregnancy and revealed, “It’s a boy.”

In another interview with Extra at the same event, the athlete gushed that their bundle of joy was coming “real soon.” He added: “Wish us both luck.”

Cardi announced the arrival of her baby boy with Diggs via Instagram on Nov. 13, sharing the news in the caption of an Instagram video soundtracked by her song “Hello,” from her Am I the Drama? album. “My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons,” she wrote in part in the lengthy caption. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve. This next chapter is Me vs. Me!”

A few days after announcing his birth, Cardi shared photos of her new baby boy — who was pictured repping an adorable Patriots cap and blanket — hanging out in his nursery. The rapper also included a picture of herself and her newborn cuddling with Diggs while still in the hospital.

On Instagram, Cardi and Diggs shared photos from their respective Christmas celebrations, after which fans put together that they’d spent the holiday apart. On the rapper’s post with her new baby and three older kids, however, the football player lovingly commented, “Miss yaw!!! Don’t be squeezing him too tight you making him soft.”

In Diggs’ posts, he posed with two different babies — seemingly confirming reports that he’d welcomed children with two other women within the same year of his son with Cardi.

Cardi showed up and showed out to support Diggs at the Patriots’ end-of-year game against the New York Jets, arriving in a glamorous pink Chanel outfit. At one point, she joined her beau on the field.

After Diggs’ Christmas posts sparked discourse about his relations with other women, Cardi posted a candid video on X asking fans to leave them be.

“Y’all been dragging me for three or four days, and y’all been a little too mean,” she said in the clip, laughing. “I can’t change s–t. I can’t go back in time. I already had a baby. Y’all want me to put my baby back in my p—y? You want me to leave my man and f–k yours? What y’all want me to do? We can only go forward now.”
