The singer-songwriter took to her social media to share a New Year update, which also saw her share a playlist of songs she found “inspiring and strengthening” in 2025.

She wrote: “2025 saw the end of the ‘I Inside the Old Year Dying’ tour in Australia and Japan in March. The two-year tour was such a wonderful experience to have been a part of, and I hugely enjoyed being able bring the music to life in a shared experience.

“Since then I have been writing songs for my next album and poems for my next book, which is a process that always surprises and challenges me, but one I realise I am committed to and love.”

Her playlist, which you can listen to below, includes tracks from techno auteur Tim Hecker through to artists such as Robbie Basho, Clarissa Connelly and Laura Cannell.

Last year, also saw her appear on the ‘Los Angeles Rising’ wildfire relief benefit compilation album alongside Nick Cave, Devo, Gary Numan, Primal Scream and more.

Harvey also joined a host of artists last November in calling on the UK government to uphold its previous pledge to put a cap on seconday ticket prices.

Her last album 2023’s ‘I Inside The Old Year Dying’ scored a four-star review from Elizabeth Aubrey, who wrote for NME: “‘I think the album is about searching, looking… and seeking meaning,’ Harvey said. While the meaning part is sometimes tough to decipher – far more so than her previous work – it’s not the answer here that’s important but the journey.

“It takes a little time to immerse yourself in Harvey’s world, but once there, you won’t want to leave.”
