Tito Nieves Joins Descemer Bueno & Gente de Zona for Salsa Version of ‘Después Que Bailamos’

Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona have reeled in Tito Nieves for the remix of their 2023 collaboration “Después que Bailamos.”

Originally released as a pop-flamenco track in 2023 — and as a sequel to the 2014 timeless hit “Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias, Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona — ”Después que Bailamos” now receives the salsa treatment by the Puerto Rican salsa giant.

With his distinct, nasally yet powerful vocals, Nieves kicks off the Angel Arce-produced track singing: “Se me sigue conteniendo la respiración” (I’m still holding my breath), as a continuation to Iglesias’ “Yo te miro y se me corta la respiración” (I look at you and my breath is taken away) verse in “Bailando.”

Gente de Zona then asks, “Tell me what happened after we danced” as the tropical-urban fusion unravels an explosion of flavorful rhythms.

“Después que Bailamos (Salsa Remix),” released via Bueno Entertainment/Plus Media, is a celebration of “Bailando’s” global success that currently boasts nearly four billion views on YouTube (at time of publishing).

Cowritten by Iglesias and Bueno, the track released more than a decade ago is the second longest-running No. 1 ever in the history of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, where it spent 41 weeks at the top. It pursues the record-holding “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee that spent 56 weeks at the top of the chart.

The song also rose to No. 12 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, aided by a Spanglish remix (featuring a Sean Paul guest rap).
